All of these threads blaming Armida for ripping off Kobold has been very entertaining. Why the heck should anyone give a rats arse what someone else likes. It seems some have a bone to pick with a certain forum, therefore their forum watch is taboo. It's easy to be Mr. Badarse Watch Cop when you sit at the computer. Hey lets jump on the band wagon and flame this watch or love that watch. I'm wearing my A5 as I type. I like it, heck, I like all my watches and everyone else's too. The problem with micro brands is that they make it possible for a below average John Q like me to spend lots of money on watches. I like my A1 too!
I agree with you there. I observed that those guys who are ready to pay fully for way overpriced watches, are getting pissed when a similar cheaper model arrive on the market: They can't go around anymore with them status of money burners apparently...
True also that there is a little bitter forum-war going on with some guys who really understood that arrogance has no limits: "Here we have hair on our chest but on the other forum, they have nothing but baby's butts...Blablabla...I killed 3 bears with a fork when I went to pick up my mail this morning...Blablabla...My watch is real, your's is a second range imitation for poor people and I can pay for the botox and silicone of my wife who's more real than yours...Blablabla..."

Again the sheriff is right!!!

Just my opinion,  but up to about 3 or 4 years or so ago I was a pure-bred idealist until I discovered the micro brands. I then realized, just like what Sheriff Will said, cases and designs abound with hardly any restrictions. I then became a realist and as long as I knew the origins of the movement and country of production, as well as the ownership and transparency of the micro brand itself, I entered each purchase decision with eyes wide open.

Wow what a Thread!!!

I find it very amusing to read that on other forums some brands get burned because they look similar to other brands,,. this was discussed with the Crux - SAS debacle.. I just think that this them demostrates how people can be hipocrites!!!! C'mon people!! We live in a competitive world where you have to rely on that extra ummpphh (or je ne sais quoi) in order to be a leader in your market!

I work in telecommunications and our strategy is based in aggregate value to the customer.. nobody cares about coverage or capacity.. why? because all the competitors have the same coverage.. it's no mistery where they need to build sites in order for their network to work.. the philosophy of "he who has more coverage will rule" is over.. now the competition is in what ELSE can you offer potential customers in order for them to decide to go with your company..

Micro brands have understood this concept.. they have excellent CS; they make us feel as if our needs are their concern.. Try getting a big name brand to answer an email to you!! Now in the case of burning a company for having a similar case then Kobold or any other company should not source their cases to HK based companies that are going to go and offer the same case to other companies.. In conclusion.. worry about your own brand and how you treat your customers!!! That's a sure way to survive over your competition!

My apologies if I rambled on...
