Oh man that is cool! Hoe do they do that?? Yes, that's really cool.
I guess that there is a sandwich of 2 crystals who are rotating independently: One holding the minute hand , one for the hour hand.
The crystals may have teeth on them perimeters who are connected to the hour/minutes wheels actioned by the movement...
That would explain why there is a big axis in the center: Both crystal dials are rotating around it

No William! Now you´ve gone and spoiled it ...It´s like saying there is no Santa Claus.
But yes, +1 on this being a sound explanation from the Sheriff. Guessing that there won´t be any asian knock-off`s made of this mvt any time soon, hehe.

Hahaha, I just prefer mechanical solutions above mysteriesraspberry.gif

I was suspecting a series of opposing magnets around the tubular bezel (check the screw heads) that would drag the hands around and the small movement protected by a lead cage (like the Milgauss) but after reading Professor William's piece, I think he is right on the button. Nice!

Not sure how that would look on the wrist. I mean...an ugly, thick, hairy background really is not what I want from a watch dial!dog smile.gif
