I believe that big ol' clock is THE SAME ONE that Albert Einstein used to stare at (longingly) from the window of his drab "Suisse" Postal Service office! ... ...
This is what it looked like "back in his day" ...
YUP! ... One ACTUAL CLOCK that inspired him to document his famous "Theory Of Relativity" wherein time actually DOES slow down as one approaches the speed of light!
The ramifications of the effect this clock had on Prof. Einstein are STILL reverberating today! ... 'Just thoughtcha' might like to know! Last edited on Mon Jun 26th, 2006 03:08 am by Doofus |

Oh! I did not know all that. How interesting!. But I will have to review my photos, now I do not remember if it is the same clock on the other side of the tower or just a different one, well anyway this clock is from 17th century and is so well looked after that works perfectly, has hours, minutes, date complete, moon phases and solar position, zodiac phases, strikes hours halfs and at twelve has a collection of "jaquemarts" dancing. It is a very impressive clock, as much as that one at the "council square" in Prague.

Yes really amazing clock that proves knowlegment was owned by these ancient engineers (we are speaking of 15th and 16th centuries) only they had not modern technology to miniaturize pieces, think this clock is made of iron and 75% is original, if they had had technology I think that "Breguet" would have been born 300 years earlier. Now another marvell from 1420 in Prague, I had not been there yet, I will, just only to see this is worth going there.. Attachment: reloj de praga.jpg (Downloaded 6 times)
