haha! I recall now a trade I had with Corona Gorda/Diamond Jim...He was usuing the name "Tom" at the time...I met him down in VA at the Dulles Center Mall. We took a picture for the record...and I thought nothing of him saying "Please don't put that pic on the forum."  He later revealed his real name...I guess he knew I'd see him on ShopNBC in a few weeks and say "Hey! That's Tom!!!" hahaha...

So clandestine...so clever. :P

You are so right. I have to admit that after all that has happened I have lost some interest in watches. They have brought the whole industry down with them with their blatant deceit and sleazy behavior. The less I hear about their antics the better. The fun has gone out of it, but, there is always hope that they will drop out of the picture.:D

Notta at Slop that I can't find elsewhere...Think about it..Invicta,Croton,and even Jacque Lemans have lost their Lustre because of one person :( If Slop can't see it ...I remember the TT days when on Monday all We used to discuss was What and How Many Watches did We buy over the Weekend...Those were the Days Buddy More like spared Oscar:D

Ah yes, "Tom Braider" or Tomb Raider.......................who knew how appropriate that moniker was???  I prefer to liken him to a grave robber............

Some of these vendors are just way too happy about dumping their worthless goods and having these TV sales people do their dirty work. If any of these products were worth anything they wouldn't need to resort to all of the BS and Rolex, Omega, Seiko would be out of business. I would not feel comfortable about giving most of the TV watches as a gift. I tried that a couple of times and it backfired. :D There really is no excuse to buy this junk. There are tons of preowned watches that you can get and they may actually be worth something, at least, in the future. Over the last few years I have not seen anything on TV as being a collectable and it appears to be getting worse.

:(Sadly, ...................there are hordes of non sleepers who think watching ykw is real watch collecting with an authority figure at the helm!

If any of them knew his REAL past and sociopathic behavior they would RUN, not walk, to their computers and find better watches with better prices and a much nicer group of fellow WIS to commiserate with.

I also just have to discern that Slop was giving the poor Brit some "training" time with "the watch guru".  ????

Kind of like putting the lamb in with the wolf!:?  Or would that be SHEEP?

I just wish the damn Cohiba sticker was MUCH larger!! :cool::cool::cool:  MUCH LARGER!

Even more disconcerting is the fact that the watch vendors will obviously
"look the other way" as long as they can sell their wares. It makes all of them seem seedy and more than a little greedy too.

If the dumb arse would keep his braggart mouth shut about each and every watch, ring, large screen TV and other swag items he has purchased, his past of owing money to multiple persons he has scammed would seem less obvious and certainly less "in their face" !

"I no longer really value personal possessions, material things mean nothing because they don't make you happy............"

YEAH RIGHT!

At least the poor victims are STILL around and know where the bandit lives and works: http://www.cigarfamily.com/cf4/thread.cfm?Show=&Room=Club&ThreadID=105944
