Thanks Jeff...I'm liking the combo quite a bit...first thing i did after receiving the MarineMaster rubber was throw it in a coffee cup and pour in boiling water, the end result was a nicely curved and comfy combo.

I read that from Steve's post sometime back about the hot water. If ever you store your rubber straps, coat them with some talcum powder. They'll last longer. Nice strap. I should really get some soonwoohoo.gif

Regarding the talcum powder, back in the day I did quite a bit of diving in the Great Lakes.  Had to wear a wet suit.  This was during the seventies and eighties.  Word was then, to avoid using scented talcum power on your wet suit because the perfume damaged the rubber.  Unscented was fine.

FWIW

Thanks for the input about the perfume. Makes lots of sense. I used to do some snorkeling back in the day and none of us paid any attention to the perfume but your tip is great. Thanks.

Also, if I may add, I keep  my leather and nato/zulu straps in a plastic airtight box and throw in lots of photographer-grade silica gel to avoid moisture and preserve them all. woohoo.gif
