Thanks for the kind words on the Squale Mark, Brice, Edgel, and William!!! It's got a nice vintage vibe to it!...I wish it was a bit larger as the bezel diameter is just a hair over 41mm so it wears a bit small. These are the ones that are currently being sold with the NOS Tritium-lumed dial/pip, and a mineral crystal. My understanding is that Squale is planning to sell a Superluminova lumed dial with sapphire crystal version sometime in early 2011.

Here at 3T, we like to refer to this one as the "KAMIKAZE" (A name coined by Jeff (bigrustypig), which I think really suits the piece a bit better IMO)...what's the "spork" moniker mean relative to this Seiko?...I can only think of the school cafeteria many moons ago and that crazy hybrid spoon/fork thing that they gave you. Will be anxious to see if this is a "keeper" for you. Enjoy amigo!!!

Beautiful, elegant and loaded with horological pedigree, Chris26.gif. This is really a watch to have, IMHO. Just as an aside.....would you like to experiment with an Isofrane on that to really bring back the past of that watch? BIG CONGRATS, amigo! Enjoy it in good health for a very long time.

stew77 wrote: Jeep99dad wrote:Switcharoo to a new Seiko… First time wearing it, let’s we get along… Ditto to Chris' post. Kamikaze seems to be a better nickname than the Spork used at another forum. They also refer to this as the "Tuxedo Diver"....but none of those names stuck, however. That Kamikaze has it all, Brice. Big Congrats! The profile is almost exactly the same as the Seiko Prospex Marine Master 600m or the SBDC001....priced at about US$2,300 to US$2,500. It is a heavy watch, with outstanding lume and significant presence on the wrist. You will just love owning that. Enjoy it in good health for a very long time, amigo
