Tony, Graham, Phil, Oscar, and Jeff...Thanks very much for the kind words on the SD arrival!!!thankyou.gif

The only timepiece that has been a grail for me longer than the SD is the Rolex Daytona, and the only question I'm asking myself is "why did it take so long?".  I would have saved myself a few bucks if I'd purchased an SD 10 years ago! subtlelaugh.gif

Graham - agree with you my friend!  Paradigm shift for sure for me...it took a paradigm shift of the brain to make the jump (simply due to the price of entry for a single piece), but I agree...this has definitely kicked off that "RCB", and may also lead to other higher end pieces.

You guys will get a kick out of this...my wife is right there with me as I open the box for the first time...she goes in for a close inspection and states "that's what a $$ dollar watch looks like?"raspberry.gif  Explaining the legendary build and history of the in-house 3135 calibre, the Triplock crown system, and design construction of the classic oyster case along with the SD place in dive history did nothing for her...she looked me straight in the eyes, smiled, and said "I guess I need to raise my expectations on what I should spend on a single luxury item for myself"...then kissed me and said "enjoy it sweetie"!chickendance.gif(after I agreed to sell off a few pieces).

Yep...this is gonna cost me!!! subtlelaugh.gif
