I had a great cigar weekend. I went to a home winemakers (drinking) conference in suburban Dallas (Addison) this weekend. There was a fine cigar store right by the conference center. I enjoyed a couple Cohiba's, a couple San Cristobals, and a Montecristo. All fantastic smokes. I liked the Cohiba's the best. They paired up well with most all the wines I sampled.  I smoked one of the San Cristobals on the drive home. Got 145 miles out of that cigar.

Overall it was a great weekend. Brought home 2nd place in both categories I entered. I entered a 2005 Amarone and a 2005 Kumquat Mead. Judging wasn't by official judges. It was a People's Choice Awards where all the attendee's scored the wines by the same criteria an official wine judge would use. It was a fantastic time and learning experience.
