I got the Omega bug a bit after picking up my At earlier this year and was in Chicago at Torneau checking out POs and Seamasters. For whatever reason the PO wasn't calling my name in the flesh but there was an electric blue I really wanted. Of course it was Torneau and a deal was not to be had. Flash forward and I'm daydreaming of a Seamaster thinking I would destroy the polished bezel on an electric blue and low and behold up pops this 2254.50.

For me this is the most versatile of the recent Seamaster line-up. Not too Bond like the 2531.80 (skeleton hands don't work for me either), not as blingy as the electric blue 2255.80, but as Goldilocks says, "Just right." I almost bit on a GMT but decided the 2254.50 would get a lot of use in my rotation.

Classic Seamaster case with great lugs and a nice combo of brushed and polished finishes. Very clean dial copious lume and a nice wave pattern. Nice touch with the white on black date wheel. Smooth as silk calibre 1120 (a modified 2892). Pulled the half-link out of the speedy style bracelet and it fits like a glove. Great clasp but nio fine adjustments but the 1/2 link settles that issue. This one was pre-loved with some desk diver marks but I'm almost glad since now I can not worry about that first mark...

I know Omega has suffered as of late from some issues but this watch is solid a a rock and yet smooth as silk. I like it a lot!yourock.gif Perhaps there is a PO down the road but for the moment this Seamaster at 41mm with classic looks will have to do.

Thanks for having a look! :D
