There was this Bing cashback deal going on during the last week or so and I ended up picking up a Hamilton Sunset for $230 (assuming the cashback arrives in 2 months).

It's a gimmicky watch for sure, with the not too useful Sunset bezel (which doubles as a 3rd time zone tracker) and the elaborate crown guard that kind of hinders crown adjustment for me, but it looks pretty cool and is well made.  It has a ETA 2893 movement and it hand-winds so smoothly I can hardly feel any resistance.

It's big at 45mm excluding crowns, and the crown guard and large crowns make it look even bigger.  But it doens't sit super high like a Benarus Sea Devil, and I think I can manage it on my 6.5" wrist.

A couple of quick pictures

BTW - If the size starts to bother you, you can send it my way, a 45mm watch sits nice on my 7.5" wrist subtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gif

Thanks for your comments.  I got a Hirsch Liberty strap for it today and tried it on.

What a difference a strap makes. hand6.gif The watch looks even better after you polished it. I like the combo now better than the bracelet.:)

Thanks for the comments guys.  I wore this watch on the strap all day today and really do like it a lot.  I'll be leaving it on the strap for a while.  This watch is really growing on me now.  I'm digging the funky style very much. cool10.gif
