Hi guys, I received my second Russian watch today, a Poljot mechanical Alarm. It arrived about a week after I received my first Russian, which was a Vostok Europe Gaz-Limo. Well, for those who read "My First Russian Watch_My First impression" topic, as you know, I had to send back the watch because I had received it with scratches on the case and a miss print on the dial. Fortunately for me, I had bought the watch from Russia2all and Craig, took care of my issues right away, as you would expect from any serious company with a good CS. Now I will see what will happened with this one. I was saying in my previous review that I was tired of spending money on shipping back items ordered that arrived defective or damaged, well, it happened again :X! Is it just me or some of you guys are having similar problems? Is it the Watch God telling me to stop buying watches???!!! The watch is fantastic and I'm really happy I got one, but this one arrived even worst that the Vostok Europe. It was well packed but the whole side of the watch (9 O'clock side) is badly scratched, the bezel has dents and, I have a faulty number 3 again, that is not filled properly!!! coyote2.gif I sent an email to the seller and I'm waiting for a reply. I will take some shots of the damages tonight if I have time after work to show you what I mean. This is incredible...

Man I'm sorry to hear that. I've never heard of such bad luck back to back. I'm knocking on wood I've been very lucky. I wonder if this is any indication of how things are going in the russian watch market in general. Keep your eyes and ears open folks...

Yep, very bad luck indeed! But I would not say that this is a major problem with Russian watches Upside, I read a lot about Russian watches before I bought one and many members here have a few Russian watches and I never heard of such thing as scratched watch new in the box on defect on the dial. It seems that I'm the one with all the defect ones :P. Ha well, there is worst than that in life and everything would probably end OK so all I need is a bit of patience... By the way, somebody knows where I can buy patience, I think I'm born without it

Here are some shots of the watch with damages. Not easy to get a clear image with bad lighting but I think you'll get the idea, see the dot on number 3? Nice watch though, and the alarm is quite loud... After 24h, no news from seller yet...![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks Oscar :), you are right about the case, I even thought of having it blasted, like the crowns. Unfortunately for me, the watch was not bought from Craig (russia2all), he didn't have this model...Maybe I should have ask him to try to get one for me

Daniel, if that watch was sold as new that's pretty bad, and if it was sold as used those scratches should have been identified. That said, i agree with Oscar, GREAT watch and with a little patience (oh wait, you don't have any....just kidding) you can clean it up nice. On another note...I think you are right, pretty sure if Craig does not have it and it's Russian he can get it for you.

Nick, the watch was sold like New and Never Worn. I would think that this guy is serious seller though, he's a power seller with more that 30000 sales and 99.6%. He's German so we might have language problems, I will try a second email and give benefice of the doubt, like we say in French... Also, maybe you can help me or somebody else can help me with a detail on the watch (sorry but no pix). I was looking at it again last night and I noticed that the watch case back had a small opening of about 3mm in it. It looks like if it was bent out and some more scratch on the case aligned with this opening. I first thought that it was broken but looking at it closer (it's really small) I'm not sure anymore. Is it possible that this is design to help the ring sound louder? Would it make sense? Is it common on this caliber 2612.1? Why the case is damage where the opening is remain a mystery Daniel

Sorry to hear about your watches. Would the seller in question be someone whose name has been batted around on the WatchUSeek forums, often poorly-spoken of with regards to his lack of accountability and poor customer service, sometimes attributed to his difficulties with the English language? Might be worth having a look, and avoiding in future, if it's the same guy.

I think the troubles you are having with the watch are due to abuse, not the original manufacture, except for the hole in the #3. Sounds like someone messed around with this watch imo. Hopefully you can get the seller to stand up and make things right.
