I received this watch a couple of weeks ago and wasn't sure what to expect not having ever owned an Aristo watch. It arrived in a fairly long, flat box with a standard all purpose manual. The watch case is sandblasted stainless steel which gives it a matte grey look. Fit and finished seems excellent although there are few sharp edges on the lugs. Comes with a mineral crystal front.

Inside beats a standard-issue Swiss Made ETA 2824-2 held in place with a white plastic ring. Seeing the plastic was a little disappointing, but given the watch's $359 price, it is not unusual. The crown is not a screw-in type, but it works quite smooth and is easy to operate. The case size of 42mm x 10mm makes it near perfect for my tastes and wrist. It is about the same size as my Archimede, but it actually looks a tad smaller on my wrist. The case back is a screw-in type with a nice exhibition window. The original strap is a solid back leather with thick padding. I immediately replaced it with a Di Modell Rallye strap which is a perfect match in color and comfort. The date window is black to match the black dial - a nice touch.

It all sounds pretty ordinary. But, the lume is fantastic. WAY better than I thought. I have always read that older Aristo's were a little weak in the lume department. Well, they've have stepped up their game with this new model. I LOVE IT! My fav Traser, Ball, and Robert watches are now fighting for wrist time at night. The lume is very strong at first and then dies down to a very easy to read dial throughout the night. It by far and away beats my Archimede watch in this regard. It is no contest.

The 3H114 (and the PVD version 0H05) is a good affordable aviator style watch. If nothing else, I'd buy it for the SuperLuminova treated dial markers and hands. I'm already thinking of getting another new Aristo model with the outer minutes and inner hours on the dial. It has even more lume to keep me up at night.

Thanks! Took a comparison lume shot with my Archimede Pilot watch (a damn nice watch IMHO). To be fair, the Archimede is a couple years old.
