Dont forget the eclipse tonight.  It has already started in motion but wont be in full effect till around 10 pm till 10:52 eastern.  Should be pretty colorful.   cool10.gifScott

It will be 3 years till the next one.  How does that work for you west coast guys?  The moon is about 1/2 shadowed now.  Will you still be able to see it when it gets dark?  Scott

My kids petered out on it!! Still trying to convince the wife to take a look even though the temp is below zero. Should be cool!!

I dont know if any of you heard that this eclipse save Columbus.  He landed in Jamaica and was having a problem with the locals and he happened to have his almanac and he saw an eclipse was going to happen so he told the locals that he would make the moon disappear if they did not help him or something like that.  They thought he was bsing untill the eclipse started to happen and they freaked out and did what he wanted.  I forget the specifics but I think you get the gist.  Scott

I saw it starting just before 10 and then checking a few more times over the next hour.  Cool!  The skies were clear and crisp in my part of NY.
