I was 18, when my dad bought me
my first 35mm camera. A Pentax Spotmatic F
with the original leather Case. The standard lens
was the Super-Multi Coated Takumar 50mm f1.4.

Coincidentally, this was also my dad's first camera
and many of my baby pictures were taken with it,
back in 1970-73.

I am proud to say, that I still have this camera
twenty-one years later. Since then I've added the
Takumar 135mm f3.5 portrait lens in 1992.
The camera is in pristine condition and it looks like it just
came out of the factory.

Both lenses have protection filters on them.

The camera was purchased on Sun. Nov. 18,1988.
My current camera is a 2002  Olympus C-720 Ultra Zoom 3 Megapixel Camera. Which I've posted my watches with.

If it ain't broke, why fix it.

Thanks Dad for 21 years of photographic enjoyment.

I still shoot film from time to time, but not
that often,due to costs.

Cheers,
Simon

I had difficulty with focusing
from the 1.5 inch LCD Screen
of the Olympus 3MP digital camera.

Therefore, I had to delete each image
that I've downloaded. That would explain
all the editing.

My first SLR was a Pentax Spotmatic 500.  I loved that camera, and even did some paid photography as a student with it.  I just found the screw down lenses quite cumbersome,

One aspect about the Pentax
at the time, was that it was much lighter
to carry around than the Nikon F and F2.

I've realized that I've made
a mistake...the camera should have
read "Pentax Spotmatic II."
This would have been correct
for the years of 1970-1973.

The Spotmatic F didn't appear
until 1973-1975. Sorry to all
the Pentax aficionados out there.

-Simon
