Here's another to confuse the list members - it is the southern Winter here, so in Western Australia it gets pretty cool and wet. Don't forget that we are an island. We don't get tornados, though.hand6.gif Clear and 60 degrees here today, but it will rain for the next 3 days straight. And we already know that when summer hits (that would be your winter) we are in for water restrictions again this year - because the dams are way down on where they should be. Damned global warming... Cheers to all! IanM

Todays forecast calls for Hot & Dry... expect periodic intervals of Hotter & Dryer! My yard is not just dry, it's Crunchy! *(..oh well, at least I'm not having to mow!)

IanM wrote: Hey Skipdawg I hope they ride it out safe as well. Living in Hurricane country sucks. Many will say it was only a Category 2 when it hit which is much better than a Cat 5 but if you live right on the coast, Cat 2 sucks. Any Catagory of Hurricane is a pain. I live far enough in-land that we would laugh at a Cat 2 as they break up pretty quick over land but have seen what a Cat 2 can do on the coast. Katrina hit at Cat 5 and was a Cat 3-4 when it went over my house. Rita actually landed 100 miles west of me but I actually had more damage from it! Phoenix has had some record setting heat this week. Temps at about 114 or so. Much higher than normal. Lots of storms and plenty of lightning. Got another storm coming in now. A dust storm of sorts.

A dust storm of sorts. I saw on the news you guys were hot down there and the storms are not helping. It was cloudy here with some lite rain and the high I saw was 64 degrees. Crazy how different the weather is.
