Ok Gents if anybody here will know its you guys.  I recently purchased a 22mm bracelet from Watchadoo (Ebay seller) the bracelets that come from Australia.
Is there someone closer with a website to view.  I need a couple more of these things and don't want to order of eBay and wait 3 weeks for shipping and crazy customs charges.

Not aware of anyone else. Next best option is to just keep close watch on all sales forums for someone flipping theirs. ;)

If you're not tied to the Watchadoo, several vendors offer bracelet options. Look for solid end links at the very least or you could end up with a tinny POS. Try these perhaps:

Watch Prince

Lone Star

Global

Strapped For Time

ok thanks. Are the watchadoo bracelets not solid? I was under the presumption they were not "tinny"

I didn't infer anything negative about Watchadoo. They are top shelf imho and I have felt the service from Australia is superb but your experience may be different with Customs and such.

Just showing you other options. You just want to to make sure any bracelet you buy has solid endlinks and all solid links preferably.

Ok thanks for your help Pax I just wanted to make sure that what the article said on eBay was accurate.  You know how some sellers out there BS their way into a sale.  I have taken the liberty of browsing the sites you sent me.  I am impressed.  They should be much easier to deal with when it comes to shipping times and such.

The Watchadoo is top notch...priced right, solid, heavy, comfortable & great looking....if I could find any fault, it would be the fact that it has pins instead of screws!  I have 3..."brushed" on the Hammy Khaki Field chrono, "blasted: on the ORSA 3t and "polished" on the VIXA Type-20.

I don't know about shipment to Canada, but I had my bracelet in 12 days with no added Customs charges. I have not found a better after market metal bracelet than a Watchadoo.

You shouldn't incur any customs charges unless you have your items shipped via FEDEX and the value on the customs form is over $100. I'm not sure, but I think Canada is the same.

That said, many ebayer's will check gift on the customs form to help with customs. cat28.gif

I am not sure about the actual charges that come into effect when it comes to packages over $100.

I do know in fact that packages that are shipped internationally from any country into Canada fall into taxes owing.  + Customs handling fees.

YEP Got to pay the lazy morons to open your packages to inspect them. Then when there done ripping apart your package they charge taxes on the parcels as well. (what do our taxes pay for?)  This is their job to inspect why do we have to pay.  Ohhhh well.

This is why I prefer to do business within Canada if I can.  Dealing internationally just causes additional expenses and fees.   13% additonal tax on everything purchased outside the Canada GST / PST.  Also we get stuck paying extra money on a dropping Canadian to US dollar .87c today.  13% additional taxes on packages.  Tariff Fees.  Customs handling fees.  My last watch Purchased for Approx $200 ( Seiko Chrono)  Cost me an additional $42 in fees at the post office to retrieve the package.

Because when the government starts paying for "everything" (ie: curing all the world's social problems, universal health care, etc.), they need to get the money from somewhere...and since governments are not a producer of income, only a careless spender, the money comes for the citizens.  ....There is no free lunch! :D

Well thats the way it works I guess.  I guess working for the Federal Govt currently as a Soldier in the Canadian Forces I should not expect any less from my leadership.

But at least we have free health care.  If you dont mind waiting in a hospital ER for 12 hrs you will see and be treated by a doctor free of charge.
