looks like another quality piece and unique too, just too dark for me though.
I bet these will sell out quick! Good job Dievas!

Very nice, but if I may ask....Why did you decide on a GMT bezel, since it's not fuctional without a GMT hand....am I correct?

Oh, one other question....Was there a reason to not have a screw down crown?

Thanks,

Lance

Another great issue, Andersthumbsup.gif.

Fortunately for me, I can drop by Anders' shop on the weekend as I head back to the salt mines. I'll take real world photos and post soonest.

the 24hr bezel was not intended for this watch but it was too late to stop production once discovered (only 50 pieces).
Anders is working on something that will make all WIS happy as a solution..
happy guy.gif
....many WIS prefer a 12hr GMT bezel because no hands need to be set in order to change time zones...just a quick adjustment of the bezel... no GMT hand is necessary.
...out of curiosity would there be an advantage to a screw down crown on a 50m rated watch or is it just peace of mind?

Personally, it would be a peace of mind sort of thing since I’m a forgetful kind of guy…

For example; I took the dogs to a dog wash (where they provide the wash basin and blow drier and stuff) on Saturday. While scrubbing the dog/s down, it wasn’t till the fist hit or smack (from the latch that’s connected by a cable, that attaches to the dogs collar to keep them in the wash basin) on my Vortex that I remembered that I had it on!!!  Anyways, I kept the Vortex on and kept on with the wash!

I’d like to add, that the more I wear my Vortex. It give’s the watch the chance to prove it’s self to me in regards to how it handles the bumps and knocks of a daily wear. It’s done so well in fact that it has me grooving or digging on it even more!!!!

I’m also usually found living on construction sites that it’s my understanding that a screw down crown also helps to keep debris from entering the watch.

That said, I’ve worn (and still have) my Traser Big Date that doesn’t have a screw down crown for several years and it did well.

So it could be just a novice’s concern, but the water is definitely one though.

Thanks,

Lance

I don't want to sound negative, but for such a great looking highly functional TACTICAL style watch, why oh why is it only rated 5ATM water resistance??
A watch like this should be able to go the distance---instead you have something that you can't even really go swimming with!
There should have been steps taken to make this great watch--and it is a great looking watch--more like 50 ATM rather than just 5.
I have to say that's my major disappointment with my Dievas AGS as well.
Totally scratchproof case, but I'm afraid to spill a beer on it let alone forget it's there on my wrist and plunge into the water with it.

Reason could be it's a pilot watch instead of a diver, I wouldn't spill any beer on my watch I prefer drinking every drop. This watch has been wet plenty of times and even been in the sink without any issues.

Remember it's a pilot watch wasn't design for diving, I would swim with it if I had too. If you want I throw my DIEVAS VOYAGEUR GMT in a glass of water and post photos to prove my point. I would avoid hot tubs and of course diving.

I would love to see you dive 500 meterssubtlelaugh.gif

Personnaly, I would have prefer that the crown , even it's not screwed in, would come a bit more inside the case or fully against it...
A bit more like the Voyageur GMT.
This little gap between the crown and the case makes me feel like for exemple, a thread or fabric from cloths could catch the crown anytime and just pull it out.
It also looks to me like the crown don't really have it's place there because it pop out of the case instead of beeing one with it.
Between the bezel and this, I would say that maybe this watch came out too early...

it would seem that the screw down crown and water resistancy in meters that are unreachable by human life have become crutch of many WIS believing that without the 2 a watch could not survive getting wet.
....unfortunately that leaves out a large segment of this hobby that do not have either and would most likely out perform many of the watches made by companies that claim the above whose QC is non existent because in most cases and I do mean  cases it is only the watch case that is tested and not the final product and the company owner or rep is no wear near the manufacturing facility to oversee QC.
...water resistancy is not guaranteed to last any amount of time and can be altered in daily use by bumping or dropping your watch.I have a expensive watch in service right now because the crown tube came loose...this happened from just unscrewing the crown everytime I went to wear it and needed to set the time and date...as a WIS many of us have more than 1 watch and something as simple as extensive use of a screw down crown can cause problems....jmho
