Hi everyone,

OK, so I'm looking for a couple of pieces of rubber to stand in for the original Dievas rubber in the strap that came with my Focal.

The watch is brilliant, and I wear it on Zulu straps at the moment. I do like the rubber bracelet concept and the diver's extension and the Dievas deployment generally), but I don't like the lug-filling fitted ends and how it fits (or doesn't fit) my wrist.

The only rubber strap that seems to fit the bill (22mm at lug, 22mm at deployment, ~4mm thick, straight ends) is this one from Bandfever on eBay: New 22mm Black Rubber Diver Plain Smooth Watch Band Strap Deployment | eBay

Any thoughts here? I know about the Bonetto Cinturini ones but they're 20mm at the deployment.

Help appreciated.

Thanks!

Andrew

question has been asked many times over the years, just type "rubber strap for vortex" in the 3T search engine and you will find the answers...from experience any rubber strap that you try to use with the Focal rubber deployant will fit the same as the original because of the deployant and how it bends the strap.

Thank you for your reply.

I am looking specifically for a rubber deployant-based based that is 22mm/22mm and around 4mm thick, and has straight ends at the lugs.

I know about the various buckle/two-piece options out there, and have ready the discussions on here already.

Thanks again,

Andrew

I know exactly what you are saying, you want a straight lug end(no end link) rubber that will work with the Focal deployant, correct? and I also know of the 22x22mm rubber on Ebay from bandfever which will work given there are enough holes to adjust the strap to your size using the Focal deployant...what I am saying is that it may not fit you any different than the original because of the design of the Focal deployant, which bends the strap in a position that is uncomfortable for some wearers,...do you understand what I am trying to explain?,that it may not fit any different than the original, but for $18. it may be worth a try.

...I don't understand what discussions you have had on the subject here on 3T with only 2 posts?

Just a quick update -- I found the solution. That bracelet from Bandfever is identical to the Rios1931 Richmond rubber bracelet, as I ordered both and they turned out to be the same.

The rubber fits into the Dievas deployant clasp perfectly, although it would be good if there was one more springbar hole on each side, as I have it on the last hole. Looks great though, and is very comfortable.

A good solution for anyone who likes the Dievas rubber bracelet concept, but can't work with the fitted lug ends.
