Ralf, I was wondering how the name "Benarus" was selected for your watch company?  Was it something as complex as using all the initials in your family's names, or as simple as the name of your pet growing up?

Cheers,

Ryan

I am curious as well. It always makes me think of the old Benrus Watch Co.

... I would have to google them to see if they  are even still around :?

Finding the name was really not easy and needs some time, I had made a list with about 200 names. I started selecting and showed it to some friends what they think about and  so I could remove some names .
Next step I had to check free domains and I don't wanted a  -watch or -company or anything else , just simple the name and than .com

My first decision was Ceranus, but than I saw Jackass and they made jokes about a city called Mianus you can see here
 http://www.myvideo.de/watch/2253589/Jackass_MiAnus

and I also removed Ceranus , I supposed  any name with anus is not a good idea. because you can speak it their anus

I thought and googled and found a a fantasy PC game with Benarus, a god of the ocean . Domain was available name not protected and the search had an end.
 That's the story

Very cool, Ralf. Thumbsup3.gifThanks for sharing that bit of info. Knowing the reason behind the name of the company makes their product seem more unique, if that makes any sense?

Cheers

Ryan

Clearly, one of the finest scenes in movie history. Made me crack up, Steve. Freakin' hilarious. If a Benarus Sea Devil can fit up someone's anus, then they clearly already have problems.
