I've been working on this for a while and it is never finished, but it is ready to be posted with a new facelift, there is more company and contact information, a purchase page with an accurate count of what is still available, and I am planning a news/blog section in the near future to post updates on the upcoming projects such as the Megalodon... which will not be shown on the public website until after the 3T preorder is closed. I hope you enjoy, and I welcome feedback, and let me know if you find mistakes or spelling errors and try not to hold it against me.

Steve,

The new site looks awesome, you are very talented indeed.  Keep up the good work.  Just curious what language/product are you using to create the site?

Regards,

Mark

Thanks! I use photoshop to design, dreamweaver to organize, I write the HTML and CSS myself, use Adobe illustrator to draw the watch parts, animate them in Flash for the model selectors. For the drop downs I use a little AJAX, jQuery, javaScript, and CSS. The home page slide show is an aftermarket Flash component called SlideShowPro that uses an XML playlist. the whole site is Google and search engine optimized and has Analytics tracking code on every page. - steve

Looks fantastic Steve.  Nice job!! ThumbsUp02.gif

The website is very easy/fast to navigate and looks gorgeous as well.  I have a Moray on order with you guys and can't wait to see some prototypes here very soon!!

I notice that the Benarus name has expanded to Benarus "Taucheruhren"...Forgive my ignorance, and I understand the "Taucheruhren" name is German, but does it have any special significance or specific meaning in the watch world?

Thanks.

Steve,

Thanks for sharing that is very impressive, did you learn by just doing it or take any website design classes?  I am a Sr. level server engineer for a very large corporation so I do understand technology and how it works.  I have taken IT classes on web design at college but obviously those classes were beginner/mid level since my Master's focus was on business and information technology not development.  I have always wanted to create a decent website.  Any advice or books/websites that you recommend to help me start?

Thanks again Steve!

Mark

Mark, let me think of some of the better books on CSS, that is a good place to start. and the design is all born in Photoshop. I went to school for graphic design, but at the time they were not teaching website design because none of the professors could do it. I learned on my own over the last 10 years.

Yes, Taucheruhren is German for "Dive Watches" and Benarus (Ralf) is in Munich, Germany. I asked him for the German word to use.

Kudos, Steve. The graphics and layout are ok. The site comes out as a light and inviting one. Did you purposely not label/name the first watch and just the 2 others? Will PM other feedback, as you requested, once I surf the site in more detail. Great photography.

Looks very good and professionnal Steve.  Good work, again. ;)  I like the 'Taucheruhren' added to the name.  Sounds exotic.

Daniel.
