Now that some of the excitement from the Meg II is starting to cool a bit.  Let's talk about the next wave of Fall releases from Benarus:

Remora and Moray II.

Here are my questions to the peanut gallery:

1.) Which watch will they release first?

2.) Which watch are you going with? Or are you going with both?

3.) If you are not purchasing either of the watches, which one are you more excited about seeing?

I've got a black Moray dart bruhed on order and can't wait to hold the finished product in hand.  I've been patiently waiting for these to be completed and hopefully will hear some news soon.  I tihnk the wait is just as fun as opening the package when it arrives in the mail.

Anyways, just wanted to create some buzz around here.

Roll of the dice on the release, I ordered a Moray II so I want to get my watch toute suite. Steve posted the sample of the Remora a few weeks back and had nothing on the Moray II yet. Unless Ralf gets us some pics this week, it's probably the Remora.

I had cash for one and the Moray II SS with orange second hand on black dial spoke to me. I really like the 24 mm lug. I will put aside some cash and see about snagging an extra Moray in pvd if someone doesn't pay for theirs.

The wait is a killer but I am ready to hear about the designs for 2011. Steve had some great ideas, we might see a 47mm watch or a Remora II.

I for one want to see watches with names such as the mythical creature "kraken" or "Man o'War" or "tiger shark" anything along that gendre to keep that theme going.

I pre-ordered both watches, a blue lume dart brushed Remora and a blue dart brushed Moray II. I already have a Moray I dart dial that I like also. Looking forward to see what the new movements are like. I'm sure both watches will be top-notch.

One more comment I am still on the fence about the Remora I'm sure I will like the dart dial but keep thinking I should have gone with the black dial with numbers - oh well I'll just have to see after I get it if I want to try to trade if possible.

I was a bit on the fence too about the Remora, but I think when we see one in the flesh and in wrist shots, it's gonna be a game changer. I went back and forth for probably 3 weeks whether I wanted to order a Moray or a Remora, but I think the Moray case is one of the most stunning I've seen.

Awaiting a brushed, blue dial, orange hand Moray 2.

A few months ago I bought a pre-owned PVD Moray 1 and really liked it. A couple small things that didn't thrill me: movement (reliable, but loud rotor) and the finely knurled thin bezel wasn't the easiest to operate.

These things have been changed on the Moray 2, and with the boosted (1000m) depth rating the new Moray will be a big hit IMO. The absence of bracelet doesn't bother me, as I like watches like this on custom straps.

I did have a Remora reserved, but cancelled it as I've been focusing on 1000m+ watches. I'm sure it will be a great watch tho, as the "fit & finish" of my Moray 1 and Megalodon 2 are really exceptional. I have other "micro-brands" and IMO Benarus has the best quality level.

I have a brushed blue dart dial Remora on order, already have a Mk 1 Moray, could not run to both at the same time so went for the new design. I also have a World Diver auto and agree that Benarus are top quality and you get great service from Steve and Ralf.ThumbsUp02.gif

It's nice to hear that Benarus in your opinion ranks at the same level or above some of the other micros.  I looked around extensively at other watches, but it seemed like the finish....especially for me, with the dials, goes above and beyond.  Not to mention, I think Benarus offers great value compared to the other brands.
