How does the 2894 compare with the Valjoux 7750 calibre in regards to the TI 47? I always thought the Valjoux 7750 was one of the best movements for a chrono? How does the 2894 compare to the 7750?

The basic 7750 mvt cost maybe the half of a 2894....I own actualy 3 watches with the 7750 but no 2894. The 7753 should be the answer to the 2894 tricompax's position. I allways had the impression that the 2894 was of higher grade and closer to the chronometer grade in precision. Nothing wrong with the 7750 base, it's a well proven mvt. But the 2894 seems higher regarded than the 7753....Certainly for the reasons named up.

I don't know how the 7750 compares to 2894, but one time I was reading about the Breitling B01 movement and it said that the B01 gets about 95% pass rate when submitted to COSC while 7750's submitted to COSC by Breitling is almost 100%. So at least in terms of accuracy, 7750 seems hard to beat. Isn't the 2894 a 2892 with a chronograph module attached? Does it use a column wheel?

the Breitling BO-1 is a new inhouse movement...and chronometer graded movements are made specially for COSC cert...95% is great imho,especially being 1 year old and that all the BO-1 movements are COSC... ...the eta 2894 is a robust movement and there are arguments for both the eta and the Valjoux as far as which is better. ...the eta 2894 is a cams and levers movement like the Val.7750 ...the module used on the eta 2892 in order to convert it to a chrono movement(eta 2894) is made by eta for this purpose and is not a piggyback module like the DD(Dubois Deprav) chronos... ...when it comes to a tri-compax configuration on the dial I prefer the 2894 because when adding a date it can be changed via the crown(quick set) vs a pusher at the 10 position to change dates on the 7753... ...either way the eta 2894 and the Val. 7750 get the job done.
