First of all, long time reader, first time poster for these forums. I have been looking at a lot of different watch forums for awhile now. I recently joined Watch-U-Seek and have decided I would join these forums as well.

Now for a little bit about myself and my experience with watches:

I have liked watches for as long as I remember. Primarily growing up on the Relic brand watches from JCPenny's. Looking back, they were crap, but I liked them at the time. They scratched easily, turned my wrist green after the sweat rubbed off the metal, and were just all around cheap watches. I went about a year without wearing watches and then I was in China Town, New York for a school trip.

I don't know if any of you have been there, but it is full of very fine watches (very fine, very fake watches). I was a kid in a candy store. I bought a Seiko for $15 that really caught my eye. The bezel was kind of a glowish green color and for some reason light reflecting off the crystal reflected as a pinkish haze. To this day I do not know if it was real but it certainly looked cool for $15.

This watch lasted about a year and a half until the movement stopped working. Replacing the battery only fixed the second hand, hour and minute hands were no longer moving. I decided it was time for a new watch, but this time, I wanted something special.

I am a high school student and I am on a budget, so I ended up getting the Invicta 9204A. This was before I knew what the difference between a Quartz and an Automatic was and unfortunately I bought the Quartz model instead of spending $20 more to get the auto.

Well, right after this watch arrived my whole watch craze started all over again. I decided my next watch was going to be damn stinking good, but still cheap. I am still looking for that watch in the 300 to 400 price range. (Not that I have that kind of money now anyways).

Thats about it, I will see you all around on the forums.
