I received the 2 nubuck stamped straps I ordered from Mario last week and they are awesome imo!....very soft and supple with a rich look and soft leather lining... the comfort level is like a nicely broken in leather....Mario was a pleasure to deal with and I had to place an order for that new Ostrich he just posted!!... some pics of the 24mm natural leather version on my 48mm Oceanaut chrono!...TY Mario! bravo.gif

Great workmanship, MarioThumbsUp02.gif.

I am curious...what is strongest and most durable among these three choices?

Ostrich leather? Calf/cow leather? Crocodile leather?

I was told ostrich is stronger than cow/calf. Not sure if what I heard is true.

Thanks in advance for the "decision".

I haven't found much of a difference in what type of skin is used as far as wear....Elephant has been pretty tough though along with Croc/Gator imo...ThumbsUp02.gif

Thanks, Oscar.

I also asked around and I've been told that all things normal....the tanning process used will determine the final durability among all "like leathers".

That Orloff/Mario ostrich is really tempting. I envy you for that exact shade, marbling, texture and sheen.drool.gif

Jeff the burgundy Ostrich is awesome and I expect the grey version to be as well....the croc with it's vintage color variations throughout the strap should look sweet imo!....they are a day away!patrick.gif

my black alligator arrived yesterday from Mario/Italy and once again I am blown away by his craftsmanship and attention to detail with every strap he makes from beginning to end....he amazes me with his communication skills throughout the entire process....I mounted it on a Dievas DLC/AGP LE for now until the watch it was intended for arrives but it is super nice imho...best part of the gator with the grain to the right and is nicely padded and lined....TY Mario! bravo.gif
