Depending on how my side-job works out in the next few months, I want to treat myself to a "wear for the rest of my life" watch and was looking at the A9/500m as it has much of what I want (in no particular order):
  • Milsub dial/bezel/hands
  • "Enough" WR (min 300M so I can worry about it a little less when snorkelling and eventually diving)
  • Double-domed Sapphire Crystal
  • No Date or white-text-on-black date wheel
  • 40mm or smaller for my tiny wrists
  • Decent enough movement
I'd like the 28800 bph Miyota 9015, so the the 21600 bph NH35A is a bit of a compromise but okay. I figured the NH35A choice was due to a mix of price and size to fit in the case.

Then the A11 came out with a
  • Smaller watch case which is great for my tiny wrists
  • 28800 bph 9015 movement (so choice of NH35A for the A9 isn't necessarily due to case fit?)
But the A11
  • Lacks the milsub bezel (which I could compromise on)
  • I don't care much for the crystal caseback (but I can compromise on that)
  • Uses flat sapphire crystal instead of a double-domed sapphire crystal
  • 200M WR
What are the chances of an A9-variant with the 9015 movement, or an A11-variant with more of the A9 characteristics?
