Just received my very first Invicta, a 9110a (same as 8926 but w/rubber strap). I got it for $69 shipped from Amazon.com. I must say I wasn't expecting much for that price, and what I got impressed and disappointed at the same time. The first impression is that this is a gorgeous piece, not surprising as it is a hybrid Submariner/Omega SM Pro clone. The fit and finish is very good, although the bezel was hard to turn (the smooth scallops didn't help). There are very faint polishing marks on the crystal, and most disturbingly, the lume dot on the bezel popped out and fell into my lap! I managed to get it back in. Apparently, it is held in with friction and a prayer. The Miyota 8215 seems to be functioning well. I need more time to monitor it's accuracy. Doesn't seem to be gaining or losing too much, though. Overall, this is a keeper. I threw on an old bead-blasted Seiko Orange Monster bracelet I had lying around. I guess that makes this a Frankenwatch! Here's some pics (forgive the poor quality): ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited on Mon May 26th, 2008 10:23 pm by sidspappy |
