I am a very recent convert to leather straps - courtesy of one Mr Savage. I avoided leather in the past for many reasons - not the least because in isolated Western Australia, I had never even heard of many brands and styles and colours until my WIS buddies opened my eyes to a new world of posibilities. Those that I have or had were one or more of too stiff , not waterproof :(, too easy to scar :X, too thin :?, lost colour, looked cheap (despite being expensive) or ... you know what I mean. I respectfully ask just one question for open responses from all - What is the softest or most comfortable leather strap you have in your collection? So far for me, it is a 6mm thick Savage 22/22 brown cowhide with a pre-v buckle and one strap retainer. It is astonishingly supple, the colour is right, the quality is excellent and it feels like a million bucks on the wrist hand6.gif. The question is a subjective one, and not price dependent - so just let us know and see what you reckon are the most comfy leathers to keep an eye out for. Maybe it is a particular strap, maybe it is a range from one manufacturer - your choice - bring it on! Thanks all! IanM
