I heard today on the radio that the Montana legislature is keeping a close eye on the U.S. Supreme court case about gun rights in D.C. If the Court rules that there is no individual right to bear arms they (Montana) may seceed. When Montana became a state the had a contract that if the U.S. ever weakened the 2nd Amendment, Montana's contract with the U.S. would be null and void. I may just be moving to Montana. ;) Here is a link I found about it. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.

I've never heard that about Montana but have heard on many occasions there is something along the lines that if Texas wanted to secede they could not sure if true or for what reason it could be done if so.
But the Courts would be stupid to go there. Unless they just want to start a civil war. I have some back woods cousins that would not go for it. If it happens I'll move back to the South and join them.
But this stuff comes up every so often. I've seen like matters for at least 25 years now. I'd say it's likely just stuff to get some folks all riled up for no good reason.
