Thanks for your words of commiseration Pax - but it is OK - the strap was not a fortune to buy, and perhaps it will come good one day. As it is with watches, ya gotta try before you decide on one style or another - or many. Apparently there are some nice Bob Marino buffalo straps that I should have gone for. But never mind - onward and upward we go.
It was rude of me to post without pics, so I hope these (very) Q&Ds suffice.
The Panerai is on the Savage strap, the Marina Militaire GMT is on the Bob (note very technical addition of new round strap hole - cos it was too big to begin with) and the MKII is included on its OEM rubber, well - just cos I'm having so much fun with it. I have tried to show comparative thicknesses in the side closeup, the rest of the shots are for candy.
I hope that these give y'all an indication of the differences. I hear such good things about Micah and Red12 - looks like it is off to those boys soon...
