Thanks Paxman and Skipdawg!  I appreciate the quick welcome.  I have indeed considered the Boschett's.  Do you think I can convince my wife I need one to tell time through the fish tank while I am rearranging corals and doing tank maintenance?

  "But baby I need to tell time so I can accurately match dawn and dusk cycles on my lights so my corals and fish are happy!  And it's called a reef ranger, I mean come on!"

  Maybe I need to come up with something more convincing...  Oh, and I have posted my questions to the general forum
