There was a thread on another forum about this. The general consensus seems to be that the 'A' is a mistake that has gotten perpetuated time and time again. I've looked in the archive Oscar previously posted and find no reference to it and it's not in ETAs catalog. But, I've found more than one place where it is listed as the movement in a watch. Kobold Soarway Diver 'SEAL' is just one instance of this and you would think that Kobold knows what they're putting in their watches. I also have found parts for it at Otto Frei. If you look for ETA 2824 parts they also give a list of other movements that a particular part will fit. ETA 2824-A2 is listed as one of those movements for some of the parts. Is this a real movement? or like some think, just a perpetuated mistake? This has been bugging me for several days now and I haven't found any definitive answers to this question. In my mind I have answers supporting both sides of the issue:?. Any help from more knowledgable WIS would be appreciated.
