As for lug size, I think squeezing a 18mm into a 17.5mm is not a problem. Afterall we are talking of 0.5mm difference only. :)

Straps sellers like Taikonaut, are short in most of their models. I had one and the end piece was just after the buckle and sticking out a little out of the 2nd "excess strap holder"(whatever it is called??). I got my wife a waterproof strap from watchrick and she is using the deployment and it is ok for her small wrist too. :) As for lug size, I think squeezing a 18mm into a 17.5mm is not a problem. Afterall we are talking of 0.5mm difference only. :)
