Yes....running the chronograph functions of a hand wind mechanical or an automatic mechanical unwinds the mainspring at a faster rate. According to most watches I've seen, the use of the chronograph feature over the term of a fully wound mainspring reduces the power reserve from approximately 42 hours to approximately 39 hours.
