 It was a joke, if you have never been to Taiwan very little that is not tech related is made there.  Most things are just branded there kind of like the Made in Hong Kong label.

I have spend to much time in the far east apparently, and will stop with the inside jokes.

You know you have been to long some where when half cooked embryonic chicken eggs is considered a bar condiment, and then you see it on the travel channel on some bazaar foods show.
