I'm surprised it took you that long to weigh in Ken!  I have a small home recording studio.  Apple has all the industry leading software that pc's have, and some that they don't.  Honestly, I just like not worrying about viruses and spyware.  And, I don't have to buy any virus protection software.  I know the typical pc argument is that there aren't enough Mac's to warrant someone building a virus.  Truth be told, anyone with a little bit of gumption can get a copy of visual basic and write a virus for Windows.  The Mac OS is very complex, there just aren't alot of hardcore coders out there who want to go throught the hassle of building a virus for the Mac.  It's waaaay easier to infect a windows box.
