 Aloy...welcome (again) to 3T!  As far as "men's" watches, there are many that may be considered as mid size and fashionable for women.  I have a few that are in the under 38mm range including one of my favorites, the Movado Kingmatic Chronograph:



Here is a great Stovard-Jurgensen...my wife wears one exactly like this with Roman Numerals and gets many compliments:



And, of course, the Seiko Spirit with the "hacking/winding" 6R15 movement and the Seiko5 Military:
