A month or two ago I mentioned that this watch was offered to me privately. Not knowing the brand and after gathering some info, I decided to make an offer on the watch. Guess what? Sold!! Or rather, that was what the owner told me. Oh well, these thigs happen..... Lo and behold, I get a call just before the holidays. Apparently the deal went south and the seller did not get paid. I was offered the watch again, so here it is! Jean Marcel made some interesting LE watches in the past. The Targa 911 is obviously a tribute to Porsche. Being COSC, it runs very well (+1 sec/day tested over 7 days) and was fully serviced before I bought it. Unfortnately no provenance by means of papers or box, but the seller is a very well known watchmaker and also provides a 2 year guarantee. Nothing wrong with that! Unfortunately neither of the 2 originally supplied carbon fibre strap or s/s bracelet came with the watch. I fitted a silicone deployant strap which looks rather nice. I think a retro Grand Prix style leather strap will look great on this watch too. This is a nice bulky, heavy piece, and fits right into my chrono collection. ![]()
