I didn't hit install or anything...I just clicked the tab off (it was, of course, and Anti-Spyware Program) and it somehow corrupted my audio and video drivers...could not uninstall and reinstall, so I had to reinstall the OS...it DID NOT kill the HD...

Was that earlier in the week or just what you described today? I've been using it all day and no problems.
