OK, Guys. Sorry to step on your thread, Huck, but the trip to Hawaii was spectacular. Two nights in Waikiki to start. I bought a ukelele at Bob's Ukelele and rented a car for a drive around the North shore. The waves were not that high for the time of year but found a great restaurant called Ted's Bakery where I had grilled Spam and Mahi Mahi for lunch.
The next day, we boarded the Pride of America for a cruise around the Islands with stops on Maui, at Hilo and Kona on the big island, and two days on Kauai. I must have seen at least 100 hump back whales on the trip, rode a bicycle down the volcano on Maui, hit the happy hour at the Napa Wine bar on the ship too many times, and saw the lava oozing into the ocean at night on Hawaii island. And my honey and I got along great for the whole trip.
The biggest problem with going to Hawaii at this time of year is that I had to come back.
I took my Ball Fireman for viewing in the cabin at night and my G Shock for water play and snorkeling.
