What I know is a little archaic!mistake.gif....but, the LCD technology has improved greatly so the the viewing angle has increased to be almost that of plasma...LCD is getting to the point where the color contrast  (black levels) is almost the equal of plasma.  Pricing is almost equivalent now unless you go over 50" and the plasma has the advantage.  Plasma has a better picture, but only in darker room...LCD is better in rooms that a well lit (either artificially or naturally) due to LCD's inherent anti-glare qualities.  Plasma has image burn in or ghosting problems while LCD does not and plasma is an energy hog if things like that concern you.

My bottom line is that most of the research and technological improvements are going into the LCD techonolgy...that said, I view my programs on an old Sony 36" flat screen CRT!

.............and, I still can't see the difference between regular and HD!
