 A little wabi can look good on a Sea Angler.  Never really tried to buff any nicks out of mine, but I'm sure one of the guys around here will give you some tips.

Regarding your camera, if it's anything like my Sony, you just push the little joy-pad to the left.  You know, the one that's on the back of the camera.  There should be a little icon that looks like a tulip.  When it's turned on, you'll see that same little tulip icon in the corner of your viewscreen.
