There is a adaper unit not sure what it is called maybe on the site there where you can use your own coffee. Also I have used regular tea bags putting them in the cup and letting the hot water just drip over. Seems to seep faster too that way. The adapter came with mine but have not used it yet.
We have one also. At first I thought it was silly then we used it at our New Years party and it seemed everyone wanted a different flavor of coffee so it turned out fine. The adaptor is called the K cup and I use it all the time as I have a custom blend I prefer.
