I have caried a Zippo lighter with me for years now.  My current one I purchased back in 1998 and have managed not to loose all of them.

I was in the market to replace it with a new and stronger model.  There were 2 contenders the Zippo brass Armor Cased lighter and the Stainless steal peanut lighter.

These lighters are good to carry in a pack as a back up lighter, because they will burn on almost any fuel that can be found at all corners of the globe.

The Peanut lighter can be carried with fluid due to the fact that it has an O-ring seal.  The fluid has less chance to evaporate like it does out of a Zippo.

We will test the peanut lighter and get back.

When I say I purchased a new lighter, like with almost every thing I purchase, what I am saying is I purchased a set of lighters.  Some things that I keep in mind are "2 is one and 1 is none" and "keep it simple".
