 I have long believed that the Swiss Made Trias watches were made by the highly respected ZENO-Watch BASEL. (I think it was CHEEPS that turned me on to this possibility) It is nearly 100 year old Swiss company (started about 1920) and is one of the last independent Swiss watch manufacturers in business.  On the TRIAS website, this model is referred to as the "Backgammon".

That said, it would seem to me, that the "oddity" of the case fit, is more of a signature than a defect.  Strangely, I just ordered this watch from Marc yesterday!  Again, I think that for $200 +/-, Trias Swiss Made watches are one of the biggest "Bangs for the Buck" around! :cool:
