I've been collecting watches for close to 20 years. I can tell you that it is not how much a watch costs that matters, but how much you enjoy the watch! There is a lot of fun to be had finding some great inexpensive watches to add to the rotation. I also really enjoy the challenge of trying to track down a rare watch. My last couple of of watches were in the $250 range and one is my most complimented watch ever! Most people couldn't ID a Patek or JLC if their lives depended on it anyway. My next one will be about $500, and I am really looking forward to locating it. The other advantage is that you will have much more money to lose in the stock market! Have fun, and enjoy your collection. P.S. Let me know when you find a seiko SUS!
