If you are seriously considering a women's watch, then you should make one that women will want, rather than one which their partner's think they want. In my book a women's dive watch should be between 33mm and 37 mm diameter, not including crown. Anything larger than that is a man's watch. It should not be overtly girly - if it has a mother of pearl dial and diamante on the bezel then it's not a dive watch! So, make it black dial, with a regular dive bezel; a mix of brushed and polished finish on the case and a brushed steel bracelet. It should definately have a date function.
