I own two of them and find the 70's 17 jewel 7750 movement more accurate than the new 25 jewel version. I suspect that a repair may cost more than finding one that is in good condition on eBay.  That is what I did. The original one that I purchased in the 70's needs major work so rather than spend the money for a less than perfect result, I found one in very good condition on the bay for under $300.00.  One day, I will have the other one repaired since black crowns, pushers and bracelets are once again available. Last time I took it in, black was not an available color for any of the steel components. mine needed. All the movement needs is a cleaning but, without being able to replace the crown and bracelet, I decided to wait. I wonder if the seller would allow you to take it into a watchmaker for a quote?
