...as you have already noted the striking similarity between Steinhart and Debaufre, the Marine Timer from these two will be identical except for the differences in Steinhart or Debaufre marking on the watch case, crown, dial, and strap.
Steinhart and Debaufre are the same company, and my understanding is that the "Debaufre" name and marketing is targeted solely at the USA market (veterans...please correct me if this is wrong).
So if you like a particular model, you can cross-shop the two to see what will give you the best price.
