I wouldnt do anything illegal. The warden is a friend of mine and my uncle was even a warden.  So I dont even want to go there.  The game commission tries to help however they can.  Years back they tried to catch a bear that trashed my bee hives.  They reimbursed me for the hives for that one time.  If I wanted to put the hives back up I would have had to put up some kind of fence to keep the bears out.  I never put the hives back.  Hopefully they can catch the cat and let it loose many many miles from here.
