Get it replated and move it.  It can not cost much just to do the Bezel.  Some Co. are taking the easy way out, with some of the finishes and that will bite you in the a**,  on a high end watch.  The Co. that is doing the plating makes all of the diff..  You are use to Industrial finishes, prof. cooks seldom use Teflon coated pans for that reason.  Even Kobold had some flake that is a real issue on a $5000+ watch. Hope you get it worked out.
